Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes
Book review of the book Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes.
Personally, I prefer my fiction books scary. This book is based on the lore of the horror video game Five Nights at Freddys (the first game). It's confirmed to not be the canon lore of the game, but it does match pretty well. If you played the game, this book happens in the same diner with the same layout.
The story starts with a friend group gathering. The friend group had split years ago, because one of their friends had gone missing while they were playing in the Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria. Which led to their parents wanting to move far away after the poor boy was found dead. While the protagonist still lives in the same town as when they were younger, most of their friends didn't. This makes them curious if the building of the pizzeria that shut down years ago, still stands. After they found out it did, you can probably imagine what they did next..
They secretly broke in the building, and this is where most of the story will happen. After exploring the first evening, they all went home and decided to come back a few days later, only to find out It wasn't that abandoned after all. When they escaped, they realized that one of their friends was not with them. They went to their friends' father, the man thought his son was pranking his friends, and he let them crash at his place to wait for his prankster son to come back.
He didn't come back. They went searching for him, only to find out that the place was sealed close.
